Review Ontario October 2019

Disappointing was the visit of Wasa Beach. I was already there in 1986 and there Wasaga Beach was still really cosy. There were muscle cars at the beach. There was the water amusement park with huge water showers. Everybody knew his neighbor there. Today it is just a concrete desert without charm and character. We were very surprised by the Bruce Peninsula with its Tobermory National Park. Ontario is definitely worth a visit.
We had an invitation at John’s place near Barrie. We met John and his wife Rhonda in Newfoundland. So we were allowed to enjoy once again the endless hospitality of the Newfoundlanders.
And then there is the visit to a Swiss-Canadian family. At first we had some scruples to accept this invitation because it was on Thanksgiving day. We knew that this is a holy day and that it is usually celebrated within a close family circle. But the way we were received, we were almost speechless. Our first Thanks Giving – many thanks to Brigitte and the whole family for the warm, cordial welcome.
Please enjoy our Review Ontario.
